Scientists found that the new jellyfish had four arms.

Scientists found that the new jellyfish family has a bell shaped body and four full arms.
Scientists in the United States recently discovered a new jellyfish, which lives in the deep sea near the United States, with a bell shaped body and four full arms.

The jellyfish was discovered by KevinRaskoff of the Institute of aquatic research in Monterey Bay, USA. He named it "Stellamedusaventana", where "Stellamedusa" is the meaning of meteor jellyfish while "Ventana" is the name of the underwater submarine that discovered this jellyfish.

The jellyfish is different because it has four arms that stretch out of the body to replace the tentacles of other jellyfish. These arms are like two pairs of lips, which are used to guide food into the mouth. He pointed out that the unique internal structure and behavior of jellyfish can be divided into a new subfamily, and its relationship with other jellyfish is like the relationship between cats and lions, although they belong to the cat family but different from the subfamily. The new jellyfish subfamily was named "Stellamedusinae", and all the jellyfish subfamilies increased to 8 species.

In fact, researchers discovered this jellyfish 13 years ago. But after several years of research and tracking, he and his colleagues decided to publish their findings because they needed to gather more information to prove their own judgement. The new jellyfish live underwater in the depths of 150 to 550 meters, and do not see sunlight all the year round, where many jellyfish and other gelatinous organisms live.
